Ambala

Kurukshetra

Famous places were Brahma Sarovar, Jyotisar, Bhishma Kunda and Valmiki Ashram. The Kurukshetra war of the Mahabharata was done in this place.

Panchkula

Famous Cricketer Yuvraj Singh is from panchkula district. Mata Mansa Devi Tample is a famous temple in panchkula district.

Yamuna

The district is famous for Dadupur, Kalesar Forest, Hathni Kund and Tajewala barrage. Focus on the plywood, paper, sugar, metal and utensils sectors.

Bhiwani

Bhiwani was founded by a Rajput named Neem after his wife Bhani.

Hisar

Hisar is famous for Haryana Agricultural university and the Government Live stock farm. Its historical monuments include the minarets of Jama Masjid, Feroz Shah\'s palace, the summer house outside the fort, Baholshah\'s mosque, the tomb of Chalis Haliz and the Ashokan Pillar.

Faridabad

It is named after its founder, Shaikh Farid, the treasurer of Jahangir. Famous for for Heena Production on agriculture sector while tractors, motorcycles, switch gears, refrigerators, shoes and tyres. Badkhal Lake tourist complex, Suraj Kund Tourist Complex, Aravali Golf Club and Raja Nahar Singh Palace are the famous tourist spots.

Rewari

The district is famous for its metal works. There are shops which sell brass utensils and other articles made from brass. It is the abode of companies like Hero Honda, Sony, YKK, Haryana Suraj Maltings Limited, Exide, TVS, Indian Oil, HPL, Various Metal Companies and Nerolac.

Jhajjar

The name of the district is derived from Jharnaghar, a natural fountain. Industries around Jhajjar are ceramics, glass, chemicals, engineering, electrical & electronics.

Sirsa

It is famous for religious places like Dera Sacha Sauda (Shahpur Begu), Radha Swami Satsang Ghar (Sikander Pur), Ram Dev Mandir, Dera Jiwan Nagar, Hanuman Temple (Ram Nagria), Dera Baba Sarsai Nath, Dera Sufi Saint Baba Bhuman, Jama Masjid. Tourist spots are Kala Teetar, Shikra and Surkhab.

Sonipat

Religious places are Shri Gita Bhawan Mandir, Nirankari Sant Bhawan, Sri Gurunanak Gurudwara, Jain Mandir and Methodist Mission Church. Famous for industries such as Atlas Cycle Industries, L.T. Overseas (Dawat Basmati Rice), Osram, GSK\'s Horlics, Moja Shoes (manufacturer of Puma AG and Reebok shoes), and several small and medium scale industries.

Rohtak

The main crops are wheat, gram, sugarcane & bajra.

Panipat

It is known for Handloom at the National as well as International level. Exports hub for Cotton Durries, Mats, Carpets and Floor coverings.

Karnal

Famous for Rice, wheat, pulses, oil seeds, sugar cane and potato. Leather footwear, paints and varnish, welding electrodes, wire netting , agricultural implements, rice milling etc. are main industrial activities of the district.
